Well, after twenty years of rebuild and restoration, I believed that Perserverance was ready for the Blue. Woke up last week to a dead refer compressor. Wow, we had stowed quite a bit of high quality meat in our freezer, this was not good. Had to ask a friend to borrow freezer space for a week until I could replace our refer system.

Now that is repaired, I made a survey of some of our systems and found that the Jib Sheets were a chafed from rubbing on the lifelines. So will replace that and continue to review what we have.

We have three weeks until departure, first stop is Avalon. We are in absolutely no hurry, so postings will be regular, but not much ground will be covered geographically.

The final preparations were to empty our storage unit, starting this week. Sell my Ranger pickup and empty out our dock box. And of course, the Seahawks are in the playoffs, so that takes precedence. We are right on schedule.

The wind has been pretty strong and regular the last month. Hopeful the nasty winds lay down and the typical coastal breezes start. I know it’s January, but I’m ready for summer.
